Blue Ox Aventa with RockJock tow bar baseplate??
Hi all,
I’m setting up my 2017 JKU to be the TOAD for my Class A motorhome.
I have the Blue Ox Aventa LX (BX7445) tow bar and I’m trying to figure out what I need to make it compatible with the Currie/RockJock tow bar mounting plate (CE-9033JK).
I’ve called RockJock and Blue Ox and neither can give me a definitive answer.
RockJock was able to tell me that their CE-9033JK has a 5/8” space between the brackets on each side that the tow bar attaches to.
Looking at the Blue Ox website:
https://www.blueoxtowbars.com/catego..._Adapters,1372
It appears like the BX8833, BX88154, or the BX88151 may work but I wanted to see if anyone here has first hand experience and can confirm which parts I should order.
Thanks!

I'm guessing that you didn't install that base plate cuz it looks like it comes with the proper adapters when purchased -
Was BlueOx able to tell you the dimensions on the BX8833 by chance? If it was close but a little big you could shim it up with grade 8 1/2" washers. I've used that tow bar before, but I can't say I've seen anyone using that specific baseplate.

No I haven’t installed it yet. I noticed that about the included brackets too but in the description it says
- Blue Ox® - Ascent, Avail, Alpha and Acclaim
so I wasn’t sure.
good idea with the washers. I’ll check it out
thanks!

Downloaded the PDF instructions for that. Interesting. I would have thought this adapter was going the other direction -
I can see how that isn't going to work with the blue ox.
