I really dont plan on doing much with it
I am probably better suited for a road bike but I like to jump, and wheelie

Would those fall in the $500 or less range (new)?
I should have mentioned that is was my price range.
FWIW I'm using a $50 mongoose from C/L at the moment.
I don't need much more, just WANT something newer/nicer.
Heck my Thule rack cost me 5X more than the bike. LOL

Check craigslist! Try on a specialized rockhopper ! Nice hardtail! If your going to do mostly cement riding with some trails do NOT get a full suspension bike! You'll be bouncing up and down constantly and it gets tiring! Stick with a hardtail! Imo but eBay and craigslist always have good deals! By the way try disc brakes! World of difference in stopping power especially in dirt/ mud
