I didn't use a strap or wire. Just ground off the inside the body to allow the mount bolt/washer to contact bare metal. My SWR is 1.6 on 1 and 40, 1 on 20.

Basically your antenna Ian at the right level anymore and it has to be mounted where the spare is.

My mount arrived! I am going to video my install and make a write up for it as well to help others out.

This is a high quality piece of stainless steel I am really impressed!
