Actually I was very happy. She on the other hand just said "figures the ones I like are the most expensive".

At least she has a good eye for good products. I like the finer things in life also. But that is why I don't have the money to invest in a $200 mirror. I like to many finer things in life.

Default X2 for the DieTech Brackets

I'm registering a second nod for the DieTech Offroad Mirror Brackets that the OP reviewed. I have been doorless for 2 weeks and these things have really worked well for me. I don't need mirrors to be legal, but I like them for being aware of what's around me on the roads. If you want a functional mirror set up that "mirrors" the OEM design... these brackets are a no brainer.

I also purchased a replacement mirror so that I didn't have to take the OEM mirrors off my doors. I went with the TYC 4130111 Jeep Wrangler Passenger Side Folding Manual Replacement Mirror. I found it on Amazon at roughly forty five bucks (per mirror). Be advised that these mirrors do wobble just a little bit - it is the mirror glass itself not the DieTech Bracket. But it is minor in my opinion. For the price, you can't beat em. These came in a little cheaper than the OPs choice and I would bet his don't rattle at all. Also, the OP said that the fit was tight. The mirrors I bought slid right in with no torquing required.

There are several folks on the forum who have fashioned mirrors - I looked into these options and appreciate all the input and feedback on them (especially JK-Ford who basically gave some of us a full on write up of his mirror fab). For me, I preferred the way the stock mirrors added to the overall look of the Jeep and wanted that void filled even when the doors are off. The DieTech Bracket perfectly solved the problem!

Also, thanks to Tony at DieTech (tgrt on the forum) for promptly answering my questions and getting the order shipped out quick. Top notch outfit indeed!

I've had my eye on those mirror brackets for a while. Decided to pick up a set after your thread. I'm gonna try and find a used set of 2007-2010 OEM mirrors on Craigslist. Thanks for the write-up and pics.

I just ordered a set of Olympic 4x4 Safari mirrors that slide on to the upper door hinge. I liked how simple on and off they are with no permanent brackets of any kind. I'll put up pics when I get em next week.

I bought the rugged ridge round CJ style mirrors. They come off easy, but usually I just turn them forwards when I put my doors back on.
