What are you asking?? Whether you should buy new wheels or not?

Basically, I liked the price here but I don't understand offset and everytime I begin to understand it, I get confused again. I guess what I am trying to say is.. Are the wheels below a solid choice on a JK or should I keep saving towards the JK version of the pintler?

I have figured it out.
Basically. Stock backspacing is 6.25"
These have a backspacing of 5.75"
And the JK pintlers have 5.2"

So basically this will push the wheel out of the fender half an inch. I don't if that is justifiable for even buying new rims even though I'm not going to wide 35's

You were too fast with that post...

Yep, check the pattern first. Could be 5x4.5 instead of the 5x5 you need.

Also, all of the factory wheels have a higher backspace, which keeps the tires back inside the wheel well. As you move to taller and/or wider tires, you need to start thinking about moving them out. (lower backspace number)

For the money, aftermarket wheels are probably the better choice.

Why not? The backspacing isn't ideal (4.5" or less is best) but these should indeed fit a JK....they say 5x5

I guess a person could/should contact AEV and see if they will work. If it is only the backspacing that is different on the pintlers then it should not really pose a problem if using near stock sized tires. Best bet would be to call AEV and find out for sure. If they would work and a person is not going to end up with much larger then stock tires they would be a good deal. it is possible that the hub on a commander is a different size then the jk not sure on that. the jk has a 71.5 mm hub so not sure what size the commanders are.
