Default which way to paint poison spyder windshield mount.

I just purchased the 50" mount for the windshield. Should I powder coat or paint and clear?? And why?

I would normally say paint for a wheel, bumper, flare, etc. it's cheaper and of it chips or you get rash you can touch it up.

But for a windshield mount its not going to see the damage potential. I think you should powder coat. Congrats by the way!

I was thinking powder coat, but I'm worried that if I try and match factory paint it's not gonna work out well without a clear on it. So I may have to go painted, unless I just go black

I powder coated rock skins on my jeep to match the body color. The color is very close but no match, it may be a shade off or it may just be the fact that body is painted and cleared and skins are powder coated. If you want a perfect match go paint. Here is a pic little dusty but you can still tell.

Mine are PC'ed and get a lot of use as armor (tree branches, etc) I wouldn't waste money on trying to make them pretty unless I was mall crawling.

Yeah I think I'm just gonna powder coat black. I'm gonna check pricing on both and see which would be best. Where could I get paint to match the color of my jeep? Dealer?

I agree with NWapache get them powder coated or you'll be knocking the paint off them on the trails. I got mine PC'd and although they are a shade off there holding up much better to the elements and the trails.

Yours powder coated matches well. But I think mine being powder coated orange will show a huge color difference
