So, safe to assume w/ a stock Rubicon JKU - I should see about a 4.5" increase... Assuming I get a true 2.5" from the lift and an additional 2" from the jump to 35" tires?

Or are you saying you see a total of 3.5 or so on yours?

Great thread, I'm saving my pennies for a Metalcloak game changer... Trying to decide on 2.5 vs 3.5 to run 35s.

With 2.5" and 35s with flat fenders will be a very capable and flexible setup. If you can swing 3.5" with the same amount of bump stop and aftermarket driveshafts that would work as well as setting up more room for larger tires later on.

That's a sweet lift out of the box.

Here is a metalcloak lift 2.5" with 35" tires and metalcloak flat fenders. Plenty of room to run 37". I netted about 3.25" of actual lift. Here is also a picture at full flex.

Wow, there is a lot more fender space than I thought. I think I will be sticking with the stock fenders for now, I so wheel but the Rubicon is still a daily driver and I have a short wife so 35's may be the ticket for a while.

My understanding is you only need to replace the front DS, which is actually cheaper than most good quality flat fenders... ($500 vs $1000). So from a purely financial standpoint, 3.5" and a DS is less expensive. As you mention, this would also mean the ability to go flat fenders later and do 37's.

That's a nice size! How do you like your STT's??? Been looking at those.

Sidenote: I got my OT check and called to see if MC had a 3.5" gamechanger with ARB's ready for me to pick up. They let it go to voicemail and never called me back so I spent my money elsewhere. I did commit to a PSC front bumper though!
