I am using Mobil 1 in my diffs..I stopped at the dealership to get the Mopar addative...Should I not use it? And if I should...Does it go in both front and rear diif or just the rear?..I have a Sahara with limited slip.

If you do use it, it only goes in the REAR drive axle.

I am not a synthetic expert, but from what I was told from others who are is that unless you have some "Chatter" in the rear you don't have to add it. I did have a little chatter in mying (08 Sahara Limited Slip) so I added the Amsoil anti-slip additive.

Thanks Boots....A'sJK...Mobil 1 synth. 75-90. I planned to use Royal Purple but none of the parts stores near me have it in stock. From what I am I told ...there is not much of a difference between the two

I used the Amsoil 75W-90 Long Life gear lube, and the Amsoil Slip-Lock Differential Additive (1/2 bottle).

I'm bummed out. Climbed under the Jeep today while doing the engine oil change and had Mobil 1 gear lube ready to go, crap, no drain plugs in my diffs. Guess I'll have to wait til I get to the parts store to get a tube of RTV. Maybe it'll be a warmer day then anyway.
