Do you have to have a full size rear bumper to support this system? It looks like the rear support bars of the rack are resting on the rear bumpers... sorry, stupid question.

Not dumb at all. It actual has an L bracket around the bumper then attaches into the frame. It only looks like it attaches onto the bumper.

I have a snorkel also. Any ways you can post pics of how the passenger side fits in with the snorkel? I would really like to see how much tweeting I'm going to have to do to make this work. Thanks.

I know a question on tops has been answered already, but how many of you find yourselves not putting the top down because of the added steps? I’m worried that, if I go with a Gobi, I’ll find myself too lazy to do the added steps in order to go topless (running a Trektop NX now but wanting to trade to a traditional top).

Also, any issues removing/installing the hard top with the rack? Looks like you can’t do a traditional hoist setup..

I felt the same way after the first time of lowing my top. I now just add an additional 5-10 minutes to the process. I now only lower when I know it's not going to rain for a few days. It's worth the extra time.

Thanks for your input! I never go truly topless (thanks Trektop) but I do run safari 99% of the time, so I can at least do that without worrying about the rack.

Actually just pulled this rack off and put it up for sale. It's a little too big for the type of wheeling I do.
