2nd Gaia gps. You can upload GPX files off of web sites like traildamage. With the Garmin GLO Gps antenna I turned my IPad Air into a full function GPS tracking and charting map

Worth every Penny...I have all my jeep buddy's using the same system and they love it

MotionX Gps. Can download all types of maps for offline use. Leave breadcrumb and share trails so others can follow it. Can also import GPX and KMZ files. Awesome app for $2

I have been looking at the gaia gps app for my iphone for off roading. Most places i go i dont have cell service. Will this app still work

I know this is an old thread but for the IPhone check out topo maps+, you can download topographic maps that you will be in so when you don't have cell service you can still use the phones Gps... You can also plot points with it. It's a great free App.
