Default Lifter tick/knock after oil change?

Ok sorry if there are a thousand threads on this but since the search engine on this site is as useful as a... oh nevermind.

I have started to hear a lifter tap/tick/light knock after my last oil change. Through google, it seems like this is a common thing... Just hit 44k miles so I don't think the stealerships going to help. Any thoughts?

If your JK is a 3.8L it's more likely a cracked exhaust manifold.

It is a '13 Rubicon 10a. It was a sticking lifter. Took it to the dealership and they replaced the lifter, valve and cam. Glad that didn't happen 15k miles from now.

Question for Rubi-josh. How long did the dealer take. I am going in for the same operation.
