I been looking for rear quarter damaged jku with out frame damage. To do a jk8 conversion but always seemed to get out bid at the last moment

Look for insurance auto auctions. Texas has good deals on JKs. You can inspect them in person.

From the banks, insurance companies, resale value, etc, salvage is salvage. They don't differentiate.

That's why you need to look in person. Definitely buy cash, and do the repair yourself. Not worth the hassle of it gets expensive.

There is a junkyard in Bedford,VA that always has wrecked JK's for sale. They seemed to be priced too high to make it worth repairing though. I just saw an 06 Rubi for 8900 that had the same damage I just repaired on my son's 04 for about 1800 in parts.
