Do I think Rigids are over priced? Yes.
Do I own one? Yes (a 10in single row)
Do I love it? Yes.
Will my other light purchases be rigid? Yes, but it will be a while because they are expensive.

Are all off-road parts and accessories (especially those associated with Jeeps) over priced? Without a doubt!

I hadn't taken the external finish of the light into consideration when I got mine. It didn't even cross my mind. I like to see that the color is holding up, I've had mine about 7 months as well.

The video that convinced me that I wanted a Rigid:

I have bought a few Auxbeam and have been happy. Rigid is too expensive for my pocket book.

Totally get that Rigid can be too much for someones budget but the video posted by the OP will show in this case, you get what you pay for.

I should also clarify my earlier post that the cost of the Rigids also means that I will never purchase a light bar longer than my current 10in. SR. I wouldn't mind a set of cubes 2x2.

True, I have had a Auxbeam on my spare close to a year and it has not faded, impressed with the quality of it as well.

Haha! Mostly because it is over the top and ridiculous.

Also, I should clarify again. My rigid was given to me. I did not purchase it myself. I probably never would have go went that far down my Jeep list to purchasing it.

And, I don't plan on adding any other light bars, perhaps simple a set of cubes, but those are a long way down the list.

But I kind of feel with somethings like a light on a jeep it is jewelry.

To steel an analogy from former top gear hosts: It is like a watch - while it serves a small purpose it is something else, it is like jewelry, it is a bit of showing off, you don't want it to simply be able to handle you washing your hands, it has to be able to go to the depths of the ocean.
