So needless to say, a shaved 14 bolt is in order with 37's..

Or 40's will be in my future.

Sure thing, hopefully if all works out I will dismount them shortly and have them up for sale.

Like I said, I have all the original boxes, etc.. Will pack them up and hopefully get them sold.

You can sell your rubi axles for 4500 at theost ive seen peopke buy them that much. You be in yoir 1 tons around 5 6 grand. I'm doing the same I got my front d60 from an 06 f350 for 200 and now I'm waiting to get the rear I was going with sterling but the whole gas tank issue I decided to go with a 14 bolt i found for 400$ as some years come with a 11.5 inch ring gear. I saw fusion post on pirate about a 14 bolt would be better and dont have to worry about the gas tank so I'm going with that and getting the artec kit. And tmr 15bolt shave kit. Ive read a lot that with 40s if ever I'll need spare shafts. Check out pirate 4x4 Alot of helpful info on d60s sterlings and 14 bolts. I'm going to be doing this pretty soon.

Dang, pretty wide. I need to measure the garage open to see if it will clear or something with more bs than ATX bs 3.5. Been looking at trailready rims as the choice or walker Evans. I also think spiderlock would be nice.

Hopefully will hear from Dan at Fusion4x4 today and work up some axles for my JK. Left him a message and talked with him on Facebook messanger. He was out of town until today for the holidays.

From what I'v read the 14 bolt is what GM uses on their trucks. The 10.5 is what Ford uses. I had a Ford fanboy tell me that the 10.5 is stronger and that's what they use in racing mustangs. I had a Chevy truck for years so I'm partial to GM.

14 bolts are GM 10.5", Ford has their 10.5" so they are the same ring gears but the bearings internally are slightly different etc. Either one is plenty strong. 14 bolts have a well designed 30 spline axle shaft that tapers down in places for twist. The newer Ford 10.5" come with 35 spline shafts.

You need the width to kick the coilovers out and keep the tires off the frame.
