Default Axle build

I have a 2007 JKU X, which I’m working on adding a dana 44 for the front with lockers front and rear and a rubi t-case. After a trip to Windrock last year I realized I could use a little more help. I found a very low mileage empty axle housing. Added an Artec truss, EVO skids and C gussets. It has about 100 coats of paint since that was all the money I had for a few months. I just found a great deal on some like new OEM axel shafts, hub assemblies, and other misc parts. I decided to go with Ox lockers front and rear with the air activation since I already had an air compressor. I like how the ox locker engages with the housing and I won’t need to drill a hole in the axle housing or run the air line in the housing. I have the lockers and ox cover, which is very meaty. I have a friend that can do the gear and locker install and I can do the rest. Since I’m going to go with 37’s I’m going to do 4.88 gears. I have 4.10’s now and I think it has plenty of power with 35’s. So far it’s been a fun project. All I need to find now is a good deal on some 4.88 gears and master rebuild kit and I’ll be ready to finish it up. If anyone sees a good deal let me know.

I suggest you run 5.13s with your 37s.

Do you have manual or auto. Manual would be fine with 4.88. Also the torque you can apply to the gears goes up but the teeth get weaker.

I have an auto. i was going with 4.88, because I hear everyone talking about the teeth being weaker on the 5.13. I drove a JK with 37's and 4.88's and thought the performance was good. ...and i live in flat Florida
