Default Light Bar Issues

I just bought a 50in 400w light bar and flood light bundle from eBay. It came today and I mounted everything up and I was wondering if I had enough to wire it all up? If not, what do I need? If so, then can you please link something or explain how?

Looks like you have everything. The third pic shows you how to wire it...looks like 3 and 8 to battery neg and 4 and 7 to battery pos. The LED connection (9) is probably ground but I can't tell from the pic.

But how do you connect the flood lights?

Well I see two female blade connectors on the harness. But it is tied up so can't tell if that is all there is or not. If so, I would expect it came with jumpers from the bar to the floods or vice versa.

If it was mine, I would wire those two things to different switches so I could turn them on independently.

Each of your lights have two wires...one positive and one negative. Your light bar at 400W is 29A. Watts/Volts=Amps. 400/13.8=29A. That's pretty hefty and hence the relay. The relay is wired as follows...

Pin 30 = fused load from battery
Pin 87 = output to light bar positive
Pin 85 = +12V from switch
Pin 86 = ground.

You want to use a switch to control the trigger circuit...pin 85 or 86. Either side will work.

Your A pillar floods only draw 2.6A (36W/13.8V=2.6A) so really don't need a relay. So you have a positive and negative to the lights. You can interrupt either one of these to insert a switch.

For the light bar...

For the pillars...

So I wired both floods and the the light bar together and then into the harness.

I went to turn it on and the floods and only half the light bar worked....what happened to the other half?

Sounds like a broke light bar.

Are there separate wires on each end of the bar for power?
