I dont think I've seen any talk about this which seems surprising. But anyway.

Does anyone sell some sort of lockable storage that goes under the JKU rear seat?

There is that space there that is nice to toss stuff, but it would be even better if it offered an area to actually secure stuff when top-off.

I want to keep the rear cargo area open for cargo so this seemed ideal.

Not that I have seen because when the seats fold down, they collapse to the floor so you can't really put anything permanent under there.

Sure. I was willing to forgo the seat folding for some storage there.

Especially in the 2015+ where the rear cavity by the tailgate now has a subwoofer (Alpine package)

Just remove the rear seat gives you lots of options.

Haha that's true. However I kind of want four seats

When I had my JKR, the rear seat was permanently gone. Now with the JKUR, I get as much storage with a seat. It's just not secure storage.
