Default 1976 cj7 with a 304

So I just bought a 1976 cj7 with a 304 for my understanding that's a 5.0 liter by any chance does anyone know I can add my long tube hooker headers of my chevy k5

Yeah it's roughly a 5 liter, but the AMC is a completely different motor than the 302 (5 liter) Ford or 302 and 307 (5 liter) Chevys

This is my 1st jeep will it be worth to invests on this 304 or a complete engine swap

The 304 is a nice engine and headers shouldn't be too expensive for it. A buddy had a CJ with one and put a set with side pipes on it when we were kids, no rocks within a few hundred miles so luckily never bashed the side pipes but it ran nice.

Drove my buddies CJ with a 304 back in the day, was thinking of buying it and that motor was strong. Hope yours has power brakes, his didn't but you're gonna want them.

I had a 76' with a 304 and swapped in a 401. The 304, 360 and 401 are petty much identical on the outside. That would be the way to go if you want more power.

Chevy headers are not going to fit.
