Brake upgrade
My recent trip to the mountains reminded me how much stopping power the stock brakes lack with steel wheels and 33" tires. Looking to upgrade and I would like suggestions. Before everyone jumps down my throat, YES I have already read the post on here. My issues is I currently run 16" wheels and most of the big brakes won't fit. Thanks in advanced

About all you can do then is: Give the brakes a good flush, make sure your lines are in good shape, install higher performance pads. Even then I doubt you will notice much, although you shouldn't be too bad with 33s.
Step up to 17" wheels and your options are more plentiful.

I swap to a complete EBC set up on every vehicle I own. Significant improvement over stock and the same figment.
You won't be disappointed.
I have just put them on my JKUR with 35's and live in Colorado. I can actually get my brakes to lock up and engage antilock. That never happened with the stock set up.
Also ran them on my led rover. Another heavy vehicle and they performed exceptionally well.
They are also vented and dimpled (not drilled-better strength).

Thanks for the advise. I have been eyeballing the EBC kits. I know my life would be easier with 17" wheels but current wheel setup only have 20k. Maybe when it comes times to get new tires.
