Default How loud is a cold air intake?

Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a cold air intake for my Jk, but don't want it to be hella loud. I was looking at a kn one. Is there any particular one that is especially quite?

I used the Mopar CAI on a 2010 Sport. Unless you stepped on it hard it sounded pretty much stock. When you step it to the floor and run up through the 3-4-5K rpm range it sounded mean! At normal cruise down the hwy it was nice and quiet.

I have the aFe sealed CAI and it's slightly noticeable on hard throttle, but either way you can barely hear it over my MBRP exhaust. So to answer the question... not really loud at all.

Not sure if loud is the word I would use but they do make some noise at WOT. I actually like the sound.

All a cold air intake does is make noise so you think you have more power. Take the noise away and what is left?
A snorkel is the only real cold air intake, unless you are going to draw your air from the fender-well like a pickup.

The snorkel restricts air the CAI allows air to flow easier, although it might not be as cold...
