Hey Guys/gals. Once again I'm tired of buying these cheap waders only to have them leak in a year or so. When I was guiding up here I had a pair of LaCross ankle fit, canvas type waders that lasted forever. Of course I paid $130 for them too.... I'll probably buy something from Cabella's but there are so many to choose from. Which ones have held up good for you and if there are any other reasons why you like them.

Hodgeman Wadelite's have lasted years for me. Even when I lived in Anchorage going down to the Russian river 3 times a week.

I only see the Wadelites in chest waders. I see the Wadewells in hip waders. I don't need chest waders as I already have a set. I'm just looking for some good hip waders now.

I've had the Cabelas Premium Dry Plus Breathable stockingfoot waders for about 1.5 years now and (knock on wood) have had good luck. Check the site...these were on Sale in November for $99.00. I paid about 130.00 when I got mine.

My current pair has lasted over 15 years. Granted, I only use them twice a year. I think the key to long life is storage. I use a wader hanger and store them in our basement.

I have a pair of ORVIS clearwater breathable waders (cost around $99) and recently bought a Simms breathable... zero problems.

Have you checked out the "Wader Jeans" in cabelas. They look comfortable, but i prefer chest waders for duck hunting. I have had a pair of cabelas neoperene, they just sprung thier first leak after 5 years.

Yes......I have neoprene chests as well. But I don't like to wear them all the time for fishing. Thanks for all the ideas guys. I'll probably get something good this spring.

Dan Baileys have always worked well for me. Their lightweight waders are exceptional!
