The brilliant marketeers at Chrysler tried to play on the "X" games craze and the like.
Personally speaking, the "X" was just a placeholder, destined to be replaced by the proper Jeep logo of choice:

So ....
| Teraflex 2.5" BB | Teraflex 9550 Shocks | Teraflex Swaybar Quick Disconnects | 3.73 Gears | 17" AEV Pintler Argent Wheels | EVO C2 Gussets | OME Steering Damper | Woods Rock Rails | ARB On-Board Air Compressor
Makes a Rubicon????? Or where you so lame as to buy Rubi stickers and put them on your X?
Just giving you a hard time, dude. After I got mine sitting the way I wanted i had a guy ask me on the street "what year is that jeep?" I said 2008 he then asked "its got a lift on it or something???" I rolled my eyes and said "yea or something". It only counts if you impress a guy that knows.

Yes it does it mans everything you purchased to make you rig close to a Rubicon is NOT covered under a single warranty or a warranty at all for that matter.
We have one Rubicon Unlimited and will soon be getting a X model Wrangler. So we will see if it is nicer to build or buy..

Do a search on warranties, they deny shit on the Rubi's just as much as X's and Sahara's. Modified or stock, doesn't really matter. You just gotta find a mod friendly dealer.Which, is hard to do for most people.

I had to get rid of the X. Being 40+++ and feeling it was (or may be) linked to the X games. I went through years of my skateboarding (do nothing) son watching and dreaming of being in the X-games. (He's still doing nothing and not skateboarding) Maybe alot of you are from that generation but I would think that even if you were, an X doesn't draw you to the vehicle to buy it "dude" Just like buying a Corvette doesn't guarantee that the ladies will come flocking (They never have for me at least, so it must be me). Plus how many names does a vehicle need? Jeep, Wrangler, Unlimited, X. Ouch! Maybe I get rid of the unlimited too (oh right! I need that sticker to show it's a 4 door. Silly me)
