H E L P - Electrical Gremlins / Alternator Issues
The other day the ABS light came on. ?!?!?! and engine was cutting out.
Got it home checked it out and my alternator had fried and melted the boot from the lead wire...
Two days later... got the new alternator installed, but the lead wire is still getting hot as hell.
I discovered no power coming thru that wire so I am going to replace the lead wire and fusible link.

If the alternator was failing would it cause the ABS light to come on due to low system voltage?
Or do I have more than one problem?
Any ideas would be appreciated

Ok. Maybe that was a lil too much. . . I will slow it down a tad.

I was driving away from the dealership after getting my transmission lines done & all my lights started coming on & radio cut off. They said it was just from the battery being low. Dealership said I needed new alternator & a $20 plug that needed to be soldered on that plugs into the alternator. Had a friend install everything & I was good to go. Lights coming on shouldn't matter just check if they come on again with a full battery charge.
