Towing Services in Borrego Springs
1. For many years Perry's, now called Jake's, offered towing services in and around Borrego Springs. They provided AAA towing services and for a very high fee, would also go off road and tow you to a hard surfaced road and/or their garage at your expense. Jake's will no longer provide towing services of any kind.
2. But not to worry. S&R Towing Services, HQs in Oceanside, is now providing towing services in Borrego Springs and will keep one of its trucks in the BS area full time. They will provide AAA towing, on hard surfaced roads only, and are willing to go off road for a mile or two to haul you out to a hard surfaced road. Off road towing is not covered by AAA and you will have to pay for that service yourself on the spot. If & when you need it, S&R's phone number in Borrego Springs is: 760-547-1727 or you could call AAA Emergency Road Services direct. I think S&R also has a web site.
3. I just checked out their web site. The S&R tow truck is located closer to Ocotillo Wells than Borrego Springs. The official address for S&R Towing Borrego Springs is: 4875 California RT 78, Borrego Springs, CA.
They also have an 800 number: 800-748-1727. And remember, if you have AAA, you can call them direct - once you are on a hard surfaced road.
