The New JW speaker 8700 evolution 2 have more Foreground illumination and wider spread. I was thinking if they wash out my floods I would change to spots that I could aim down and use in foggy/bad weather. I will see how they work with the 4 cube floods I already have. I hate this time of year to many good sales.

Spotlights are not an ideal substitute for foglights. The light pattern of true foglights is wide enough to shed light on the road side, which is important in poor visibility weather.
The light beam of spotlights is too narrow for that.

As for the JW speaker 8700 evolution 2 --
There are three "fingers of light" in the light pattern, like this: \!/
I find the TruckLite pattern to be more uniform.
I also don't see enough of a difference between the low and high light, and the hot spot in the middle of the cutoff line is still there.

You are right there is no substitute for true fog lights. The floods are great, but in bad weather they tend to cause glaring as the lights disperse from water in the air.

Spots would have better aiming and since my lights are towards the end of my bumpers i should be able to get better spread.

Which lights would you guys recommend for reverse lights? I want to mount them on top of the AEV tire carrier.

The CUBE, 6CUBE or Revolver, in flood light pattern.
When you mount reverse lights, you may want to first determine the location, so the spare doesn't block much of the light.
Aiming them somewhat to the left & right would make them cover a wider area.

I see you now offer green lens covers. I've Googled and I can't find any answer, but what purpose does the green color server? Are they only cosmetic?
