These are DOT Approved and a direct fit using standard factory brackets. They even have an anti-flicker module built right in (which any newer Jeep guy knows has always been one of those hassles with LED upgrades).
You get H4 and H13 connections so it's plug and play.
They have integrated dual projector lenses that distributes the light in a WIDE, EVEN pattern for the low beam (that means NO blinding oncoming drivers). Side mounted reflectors provide an INTENSE light for the high beam.

No... why would they be heated? Well I guess I see why you'd want that but no. No added heat (it would lesson the life of the LED bulbs if you added heat)

Oh, driving in snow and ice, that kind of thing. Since LED headlights generate so little heat, many cheaper designs have a tendency to frost, freeze, or snow over when driving in severe inclement weather. Kinda hard to see at night with two inches of snow and ice frozen to your headlights, something that does not happen to traditional incandescent or HID headlights. But hey, they do look really cool.

Yeah I get what you are saying. These are not cheap quality. Diode Dynamics makes some good stuff. Similar to the JW speaker lights everybody uses, they came out with their own version. They've been working on these for a while to get them perfect. SAE/DOT approved as well, so that means they pass the tests for vehicles.
