Here is what the tech guys at Rugged Ridge passed on.

What I found on mine is that the square hole matches up but there is not a round hole. When the template is laid on the fender you have to shift the markings ¼” towards the front of the vehicle to allow the snorkel to fit properly.

That's interesting. On mine it was the opposite; round hole matched but square one didn't. It worked out though. Thanks for the quick response!

Does this work like a CAI? I have read through some other threads/forums to try and find an answer about snorkels in general vs a cai and have found various answers. One person said snorkels get more cold air in and can act like a ram air. Is this true? Love the look of the lower mount version, and would be alot cheaper to do this than find a new hood, or some of the better CAI systems. Sorry for the newb question, but I figured it would be good to get an answer from the people that work with the product on a daily basis.
