Another TPIM Question - JK will not start
Hi All,
I previously posted about my JK just dying while driving. Was thinking about all the weird shit that has happened in the last 10 years and starting to think my TPIM has been going bad for some time. Been reading about the installation routine for replacing my TPIM myself. My question is if my PCM is bad and the new TPIM doesn't get the data within the 12 seconds; can the TPIM be programmed at the dealership when the PCM is replaced? I don't mind spending the 200 bucks to potentially save me from a trip to the dealership.

I believe the TIPM can be programmed at the dealer if self-programming fails.
This is from a note in the service manual:
"The TIPM receives vehicle configuration data from the CCN and Vehicle Identification Number information from the PCM.
If configuration information becomes lost or corrupted, the data can be obtained from DealerCONNECT"
