Returned to the dealer and they admitted that they saw misfire on #2 and 4..

Yippee!!
I'm sooo not impressed with the level of service I've been getting from Chrysler. But that's an issue to be discussed on a seperate blog.
Which dealership in Edmonton did you goto? I goto Sherwood Dodge, they have been pretty good, even warrenteed my nav system when my aftermarket back-up camera shorted it out.

I bought it from Sherwood, and have had bad service from them every time.
I now live out on the coast, but was just in Edmonton for holidays, and to try and get the jeep recall fixed and our leaky door issue fixed.
Found out about the bad head after second visit in a week and had little luck getting anything accomplished. Had it out with two managers and customer service, and the outcome is... Well.. I'm back where I started except I now have one extra problem.. Lol

K so, I got rid of my 2011 jk cos the engine was gutless an the transmission shitty.. Lol
Traded for a 2012, thinking the engine and tranny and basically everything over all would be better.. Boy was I wrong.. Sounds like the bad head issue is happenning to the 13's and 14's..
What ever shall we do?!?

2012 03 22 = bad head? Do they all crap out or are some still OK? Bought it with 14,600 & I just hit 15,000 miles.

Just had my drivers side had replaced due to a cracked valve stem guide on the number 2 cylinder, only took finding a dealer when I moved to anchorage to get it fixed after the dealers in Phoenix pushed me aside as a "normal" noise for almost 30k miles. This ticking noise showed up at about 1300 miles and is totally gone now that the head is replaced.

My jeep is a 11/12 build date 2013 never had a check engine light because of the noise but can only imagine the metal that could have gotten filed off by the valve stem guide continuing to move up and down for longer, so it yeah its been a pain having all these dealers look at it but it was finally fixed and I want to thank anchorage Chrysler for actually knowing what was wrong with the engine instead of pushing me off like every other dealer in the Phoenix area

Had mine done last week at 68k. Had been clearing the CEL for a month so it wasn`t stored the first time. Dropped it at the dealer on Saturday am and picked it up in the evening. Did some 'updates" but got the CEL the next day. Took it back Monday after work and got it back Tuesday evening after replacing the head. The service advisor told me that Chrysler has extended the powertrain warranty to 150k on this specific fix. Don`t clear the light. Take it in. They were fast and professional about the whole thing.

I had my driver's side head replaced at 18,000 miles due to crazy ticking and low fuel mileage. I had to fight and fight and fight but got it done.

New cylinder head for me. CEL came on at around 30,000 miles. Dealer flashed it and it came back on the next day. Dealer looked at it again and called and said time for a new head. THhs all happened the week I was going to trade it in(end of lease).
