Anyways, how would I know if my axel seal went out? I mean, if I were driving down the road and it went out...what would happen?I assume this covered under the basic warranty.

u'd just see the fluid all over...well, everything past the end of the axle tube. wouldn't necessarily cause any catastrophic situation, but it should be replaced asap

axel seal
07 Rubicon. no mods yet. 24,000 mi Have not had a seal leak but I did take it in for what I thot was a diff cover leak. dealer replacer the axel assembly, leaking where tube inserted into pumpkin.

My passenger rear was leaking at about 10000 mi. No mods at the time. The dealer pointed it out to me and fixed it the next day when the parts came in. No problems since.

very true. i love this forum because it lets u know what to keep an eye on, aside from the advice and help you can get for problems/issues not yet discussed
