Default Bigger tires on stock 17" wheels?

What is the widest tires I can put on stock 17"x7.5" wheels. I am thinking about running 33s or 35s. Also, will I need wheel spacers?

I don't see an issue with running 33 or 35x12.50 wide tires. I ran 12.50 on 17x7" stock rim on my Dodge Ram with no issues....the wider tire and thinner rim will help with airing down it will keep a bead better.

You will need a 1 to 1.5" spacer to pull out the stock rims from the suspension components especially if you use a 12.50 wide tire. Also, if you go with a taller tire look at getting a lift or you will rub if go off-road and flex.

Start with the Tires and Wheels section,

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modified-jk-tech-2/modified-tech-faq-answers-questions-every-newbie-has-18617/

then move on to any of the hundreds of threads you'll find by using the search feature up top.

That should answer some of your questions, and likely leave you with many more to ask...

But seriously, find a specific tire that interests you, and then check the manufacturers specs. They all list a 'suggested' wheel width range.

I am running 35" 17lt 12.5 wide Mickey Thompson on the stock wheels, also look in the show and tell section and search for my 35 stock wheel thread for more pics but here are mine.
