How do you securely lock the tailgate? If I lock the Jeep with the remote and have the top off all someone has to do is reach in and push the unlock button on the door and the get in the "trunk". Same thing applies if I lock the gate with the key. Am I missing something?

That's true if the top is off and it gets rained on. Otherwise, I have not seen any warping/swelling.
I have too much stuff in the back to even think of removing the top.

Nope on my Jeep if I use the remote, it arms the alarm. If you push the unlock button with no key in the ignition, the alarm goes off but it won't unlock the doors or tailgate.

Besides, I usually have no doors in the summer so there are no door lock switches to push.

Is that a Sictrunk? If so, I love mine, though mine is in a 2-door. Frank is an awesome guy to deal with. If anyone is interested, just google sic trunk and you'll find his website.

Yes it is a Sictrunk. Couldn't agree more. Frank took the time to answer all my questions and kept me updated on the progress during the build. I have since added some tie down tracks to secure cargo.
