Cabin filter?

Usually the cabin.filters are located behind the glove box. You need to remove it in order to access the cabin filter. If your jeep isnt climate controlled, then most likely you wont have one. If u do have one it only takes 5 min to install cuz they is only a few screws to remove

1. Go to your local Jeep Dealer and order 2 - #55111302AA*cabin*airfilters. List price at this time is $6.35 each. These filters measure: 5-15/16" L x 2-15/16" W x 13/16" H each
2. Remove glove box. Open glove box and gently squeeze the right and left side of the glove box inwards, to allow the two plastic stop-pins on the sides to clear the opening within the dash. The glove box will then come right out
3. Note the open and empty slots for the filters, within the HVAC air plenum, just behind the*plastic*screen. Open the two screen doors by pushing the two door latches down and toward the rear of the vehicle. The right door will only open a couple of inches, but you can slide the new filter in behind the right door, when the left door is open.
4. Insert two #55111302AA Mopar*Cabin*Air*Filters*into empty slnots. Air-flow arrow on filters should point down
5. Close and latch both screen doors, and replace glove box. You are done!

This is out of date info. Chrysler has raised the price from $6.35 each to $22 each. Instead get the Wix brand ones, I got mine for $14.50, both filters are in the box and have the Wix part on one side, and Mopar part number on the end, just like factory.

I'm pretty sure this won't work on the OP's '08. I know mine is not set up that way.
This is how an '08 looks:
