My heat shield rattled and fell off. Ronjenx gave me a good idea of using of washers and push bolts but two of the studs are missing. How can I remove the remains? Is there access under the storage area?

I had to deal with this before I just took the muffler off to have free space it's held on by 2 hangers and a clamp. While your down there look at all your other heat shields on your cats and the actual pipe I've have to use pipe clamps to stop the rattle.

Depending on the location large washers and self tapping screws can help to reattach it. Dropping the muffler can help.
