Firestone Destination A/T as daily drivers
For a daily driver, stock 2008 JK X 2-dr, I am looking at the Firestone Destination A/T. Any experiences with this tire model or other comments?
Thanks!

Although we were considering the Bridgestone dueler at revo2, which are very close to what you're looking at.. I seen what the duelers look like on stock jeep rims and even thou the tread pattern looks fantastic.. we hated the over all appearance of these tires on stock rims.. because we want something a bit beefier looking yet be able to drive the highways of America.
So yes the destination would be a good not great but good alternative or a common road tire and not really going off road.. thou very capable of doing so.. I mean if one was to visit the firestone or bridgestone sites and check the tread lift and the overall rating for these tires.. some fairly high numbers.. and we have seen these on many jeeps as stock or factory equipment.
I think if they (firestone) redesigned these tires as an alternative off road or cross over tire.. it might have a better chance at surviving in today's tire market.
Oh and by the way.. While at firestones checking out the dueler at's the General manager did say he would create a Jeepers tire package just for us.. so if you're really serious about the Destinations.. I'd ask your firestone rep if they can offer the same deal.. (buy 4 tires get 1 free)

Silent Armor
The best ATs I ever owned were Goodyear Silent Armor. They have two steel belts and one Kevlar belt. They are extreme
snow rated and are silent on road and the best off road ATs I ever owned. They are expensive - but worth every cent.
