Hello Jeepers.. I've been looking into getting the Evo d ring mounts for my Jk as the stock bumper is faded and looks junky as hell with its 3 wholes. When I pulled off my rear bumper a while back to install a hitch I realized how rusty my frame looks and definitely couldn't stand the looks of loosing the rear bumper and seeing all that rust... But still want those D ring mounts. I will be keeping the hitch on there as well. Any advise as of maybe painting over it? All advise and ideas welcome. Thanks

Like previously stated, check out the facia piece EVO sells. I would def clean up and paint over that rust regardless of which route you go. Some steel wool will help clean up the rust and then paint.

I have seen the evo fascia... I'm trying to spend the least amount of money possible and I think I like the bare look better. I found out today that apparently the d ring mounts are a bi*%ch to install, I assumed they would just slide in but I guess not.

Honestly mine took me maybe and hour half to install which also included trimming the frame so they fit flush. I have heard of them being a tight fit getting into the frame so maybe I got lucky. But overall it's not bad at all IMO. I also run the bare look.

Mine took about the same time and I had no issues getting them in the frame rails either. Bare look for me also

VKS now offers those products and they are notably cheaper than EVO. Free shipping and awesome discount going... Well, yesterday anyway. Best part, you don't have to run anything EVO on your Jeep.

I like the look of those. Big thing for me is that there is no frame modification. Thanks for the suggestion
