Rear Mats Flying When Doors are Off!
I took off all 4 doors on my JK this week (without the Tube doors as well) and on my way home from work today I saw my rear floor mat flapping in the wind and it looked like it was going to fly out of the car - so I grabbed it and stuffed it under the seat. Do all of you take out the rear mats or is there a way to hold them down that I am not seeing?

I haven't done it yet, but those spiral tacks that held on the cheesy armrest covers that everyone's grandma had on the furniture would probably do the trick.

I have been anticipating the same problem... some other threads have some interesting discussion on dealing with mats / carpet... the binder clip idea sounds good...

My solution was to install a 5 year old daughter, 4 year old daughter, and 3 year old son in the back seat whenever possible. They have a "job" to do, keep that mat from buffeting up.
Seems to be very effective, although rather expensive....

You can use something like a hair clip or one of those brass paper clip things, the ones that go thru a hole then you can bend the 2 pieces one in each direction. cut a small hole in the mat and carpet and attatch them together.
Did that make any sense? Easy to take off and put back on if you need to take the mat out.

I just took them out. Since they only serve to absorb the water that my shoes don't produce during the summer, I leave them out. I will likely replace them during the winter. Fall doesn't happen here.
