Good quality lug nuts that don't rust!?
Hi All,
I live in Canada - hard long winters with ton of snow and salt on the road.
The dealer workers always over torque my lug nuts, and basically destroyed some of the nuts caps.
Now some of my lug nuts started to rust really really bad, and my stock wheels look awful.
Can you please recommend me a good quality lug nuts that don't easily rust or chip-off ?
Thank you.

Sorry, couldn't resist. On a serious note, they do make stainless Lug nuts. i pasted a link below:

I used Gorilla lug nuts on my old XJ and they survived years of New England winters with no rust. They did start to develop some rust where they were getting worn from the socket wrench. They are a one piece design.

The 41187-LT (LT=Lifetime) is the "one piece design", but are NOT Stainless Steel.
But it is unclear if 91187SS (SS = Stainless Steel) is a one or 2 piece design.

Use whatever stainless you want. Whether its an impact gun socket or regular wrench they are steel. When steel comes into a high strength force on a dissimilar metal it will leave particles on them which in the metal trades is called pollution. Only solution is stainless or brass tools. Good luck finding them that will work on wheel nuts. The world will not come to an end with rust stains on the nut though. Is the engine still running?
