Hey guys, the repair shop wants $320 to replace the starter on my 08 jk unlimited. That sounds like a rip to me. I've never replaced a starter before, but im willing to give it a shot. Anyone know how easy it is. Pics/ info is much appreciated.
if you have never done it how do you know its a rip

I replaced my starter. 160 from dealer with turning in core. Two bolts hold it on and two wires attach to the starter. Takes less than an hour laying on the ground be even faster on a lift. That's over 160 just to do the labor for less than an hour. Using an air ratchet saved ten minutes as those bolts are long for some random reason.
