Default mobil super oil recall

I usually use Mobil oil 5000 miles Non-Synthetic. I didn't want to go full synthetic since I have a lifetime powertrain and didn't want the dealer to try and void it. I don't mind changing every 5000 with this stuff.

Anyway I went to pick some up tonight and it wasn't on the shelf. I showed them a picture and they said it was in the back room and that it was going back to autozone but is on sale right now.

A 5 quart handle was only $9.99. I picked up 4 of them for $40. Anyone know anything? Can't find much out there on this.

Why would the dealer deny lifetime.power train. Use any oil that complies with the Chrysler ms specification. I use penzoil synthetic for over 75000 miles now. It complies. I don't understand your issue. By the way, Mobil one does not comply.

Dealers in my area have successfully voided these for modified vehicles. Doubt it was or ever could be for oil but once again I wanted to make sure I didn't switch to synthetic since the dealer wasn't using it either. Better safe than sorry I figured. Heard mobil was the best brand. Couldn't use mobile 1 since it was full synthetic. Landed on this Mobil brand super oil non-synthetic. Autozone was selling it for $9.99 for the 5qt handle. They said the oil was recalled but it was really only for the 10w40 not the 5w20. I use 5w20.

Just wondering if anyone else knows about this. If not might be a good time to go pick some up. Autozone is nation wide. Good oil cheap price. Might be recalled. Lol

Read your owners manual. As long as it has the Chrysler spec listed on the bottle you can use it. Synthetics from Valvoline, Castro, royal purple, and Pennzoil all carry the proper cert. Mobil one is a fine oil, but does not have the proper cert. Dealers are stupid and they lie. I too have a lifetime warranty and only use certified fluids.

This isn't Mobil 1. It's Mobil super 5000k miles non-synthetic.

Autozone is selling the 5 quart handle for $9.99. They said there was a recall but I can't find any information on it via the internet.

What do you think? Calling their 1800 number they said maybe it was expired? There is no national recall.

It's $2 a quart or $9.99 for the handle.

the Walmart price for the 5qt jug is $14.17. So $10 is cheap, but not ridiculously cheap by comparison. I however am a believer in synthetic based on real experiences with my generator after hurricane Sandy. I'll gladly pay $30 for 6qts of synthetic at Walmart for my $30,000 investment.

Walmart dropped the price recently also. It used to be $27 on sale and $38 normal about 4 months ago.

Something happened. Just wondering if anyone knew. It's not normal cheap oil. Mobil is good quality.
