O2 Sensor Ground Fault Code

Dealer is replacing the PCM on mine today (if it's in stock).. They had to call someone at Chrysler to help them troubleshoot the issue.. Should know today if the part was in the warehouse.

what happened to have them decide to replace?

Mine did the same thing at 2800 miles (2008 jk bought in june/08)....all 4 o2 sensors showed when the engine light came on...dealership checked the sensors and cleared the codes. They said it was fine. 2 days later 3 outa 4 went off again. I took it back at 3100 miles. The ended up replacing the PCM and 2 weeks later and at 3800 miles no more codes so far! I think this is a problem with a few of our Jk's. I let my father in law who works for crysler know and he has a confrence call next week and said he would let the right people know about this issue and might be able get a TSB notice for this issue.

New PCM in and yes it threw 32,38,52,58 codes again.. My dealer still claimed it was a bad ground but couldn't verify.. That caused them to call into Chrysler to help troubleshoot.. According to the paperwork they somehow found that the PCM lost communication with the O2 sensors and thus needed the PCM.
Driving it over the weekend was enlightening.. As per previous posts where the PCM was replaced, the Jeep drives much differently.. The best way to describe it is that it is more responsive to throttle inputs.. It also downshifts much quicker on the highway which makes it easier to maintain speed on hills..
All in all I'm very please with the way it drives now..

Hmm.. just re-read my post and it wasn't very clear
When it went back in for the check engine light last week it had thrown 32,38,52,58 codes.
Since the PCM has been swapped, I've driven it over 200 miles with no codes...

Rubi 2dr auto threw P0052
Like others, my 2DR 08 Rubicon w/Auto Trans threw the P0052 code when climbing a steep, dusty trail in 75 degree weather. The light went out after a couple of hours and hasn't come back in several days yet. My first hunch was that it may have been related to transmission overheating. Does anyone know if it could be related to that?

O2 sensor codes P0032, P0038, P0052, P0058
Today I brought my 08 2DR Rubicon to have one of the O2 sensors replaced (based on the P0052 code thrown back in August). Since the original code, I have had the three other codes come and go (along with the check-engine light). On the way home from the dealer, all four codes were thrown again. Apparently the problem wasn't a faulty O2 sensor. I'll be returning to the dealer tomorrow with this thread in tow to remind them that others have had the exact symptoms.

I would guess that it's the computer.. As the tech told me, no way could all the sensors be bad... I also had to "work with them" about the faulty ground being suspect.. The guy kept harping on my vacuum pump for the tow brakes being on the same ground line.. only problem with that theory is the pump only works when it's being towed..
I did get a lecture on adding aftermarket parts.. i was told to be sure to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery so as to not damage the computer

one more pcm and this time all codes clear for 4 weeks. found out it had a pcm replaced at the dealer at like 5000 miles, i did not know that..
recap:
1st: 5000 miles light on I check codes p0032,p0038,p0052,p0058 take it to dealer new PCM
2nd: 10000 miles light on I check codes p0032,p0038,p0052,p0058 take it back to dealer new PCM
3rd: 16000 miles light on I check codes p0032,p0038,p0052,p0058 getting tired of dealing with it drive it with light on
4th: 18000 miles back to dealer light still on reads bad ground all grounds removed and cleaned
5th: 22020 miles light on I check codes p0032,p0038,p0052,p0058 take it back to dealer they keep it 4 days replace the whole wiring harness
6th: 25500 miles light on I check codes p0032,p0038,p0052,p0058 take it back to dealer they replace all four o2 sensors
7th: 25501 miles light on I check codes p0032,p0038,p0052,p0058 dealer orders me another PCM
8th: 27,000 light still on back to dealer new PCM
Now: 30,000 miles and no light so far
I was getting so used to the orange on the dash
the moral of the story is chrysler has produced a shi* load of bad pcms and I think I got most of them. They are designed like A%% they have no heat sink they are filled with some liquid and after being out of my jeep for 25 minutes on the bench it was still too hot to touch WTF. These things are sensitive to heat and I believe they fail when they reach a certain temp and lose ground with the o2 sensors. But what the hell do I know? It would not be the first EPIC FAIL PCM Chrysler has produced, I think they did this on the durango where they had something like 30% failure rate
