Default p2586 code PLEASE HELP!

Can anyone tell me what this code my jeep is throwing means? I can not find an answer anywhere.

This was covered back in Sept. here on JKF and an answer was not found in this thread.

looks to me to be a sensor.

Yes, I saw the unanswered thread. Also saw the second link but since our jeeps are not turbocharged I ignored it. Surely someone on here can tell me exactly what this is. Thanks for the help though.

Sorry man. As you have done, I have searched all over and cannot find anything specific. I know there is no turbocharger but if you look at the system and then the subsystem on that link I posted, of course it is in the power train. Based off the subsystem, it looks like it could be something in the speed control or idle control.

I hope someone can find an answer for ya. Odd that it is no where to be found on Google. Good luck and if I come across anything, I will let ya know.

p2686 is a generic code p0302 looks to be a misfire code sorry I cant be more help
