Poor payload
Noticed that my JKUR only has a payload of about 500kg and I think this is piss poor,
What is every one else doing to carry heavier loads safely?

Top off, doors off, lift, tires, keep wife on a diet. Actually I have never thought about loading 1100 lbs of stuff in my JK. If I needed that much stuff at Home Depot it wouldn't fit anyway.

It just seems that with the all the gear I carry it's not hard to overload it.
1 driver 100 kg
Recovery gear, 50kg
Extra fuel 50kg
Cooking gear 50kg
1 passenger 70kg
Fridge + food/drink 30kg
Tools 80kg +
Tent & swag 20kg
Firewood 25kg
Clothing, wet weather gear, toiletries, etc for a week (for 2 people) 30kg
505kg
Plus maps and other sundries I'm looking at around 550kg and I'm sure the winch on the front with the steel jeep bullbar can't be helping things.
If I had a roof rack and a long range tank things would only be worse so what are the real options here?

Yea I've got a trailer but I'd prefer to just take the Jeep.
Otherwise I'll be upgrading to a Landrover Defender in the near future I guess.
It'd be a real shame.😞

I weighed my jkur with full tank of gas and no driver or passengers and 5040 lbs. Stobk bumpers and winch and gas tank skids. Gives me 660 lb so subtract my 200 lbs my wife's 145 lbs not a whole lot of extra capacity.

Have the same problem. With my winch and bumper I have about 370kg left.
In germany you can raise the GVWR with the installation of the OME lift kits. Read the same info on a website here in switzerland.
Maybe I'll give it a try since I already have an OME lift.
