Default putting Rubicon tires & wheels on Sahra 2015

Does it make a differance if I put a set of Rubicon wheels and tires on my 2015 Sahara? The Rubicon tires are LT225/75R17 and the Shara tires are P255/70R18, Does it change the speedo readings I don't know about going down from 18 inch wheels to 17 inch

You will be going from 30 to 32 inch tires, so it will affect the speedo and mileage calculations as well as shift points if you have an auto. As long as you're swapping both the tires and rims the 17 doesn't matter. I put my oem Moab 32s (17s) on my wife's Sahara Altitude but I believe she had 31s (18s) on there. The speedo difference was minor and she didn't want me to reflash it.

Here is the comparison...

If I remember right it wasn't even more than an inch difference. The BF Goodrich were slightly taller. It wasn't enough to worry about maybe 2 mph difference. I have since went to a 315/70/17 and had to change the tire size via a Procal.

The OP stated 225 75 17 which I think was a typo..."Rubicon" tires are 255 75 17, which is virtually identical in height to the 255 70 18s. You'll be good, no speedo correction needed.

I put my daughter's Rubi wheels-tires on my Sahara, after measuring them to be almost identical.
I use them as Winter wheels.
I did notice almost a 10% difference in MPG though, the Rubi setup made my ride more thirsty.

You will be fine both tires are roughly the same size. Wheel size has nothing to do with speedo.

And by wheel size he means rim size^^^.

Tire + rim = wheel assembly or wheel for short. At least in my day.

I have the same set up on my 2011. I use the rubicon for offroading and sahara set for daily driver. You will have no issues and the sizes are the same.
