TN_Vol_Jeeper

My Jeep has recently started making a rattling nose under the hood. It almost sounds like a metallic kind of gurgling sound... Almost like a noisy diesel. The sound is present at idle and gets worse when I start to turn the wheels left or right when sitting still or moving very slowly. I have found that if I push the stick (manual) up against first gear without pushing in the clutch and not letting it actually go into gear, that the noise goes almost completely away. Any ideas as to what this could be? No other effects noticeable when driving. It's just a sound. But it sounds terrible!
