Default Rattling sound on acceleration...

I get a random rattling sound from time to time whe accelerating at moderately low speeds.

It sounds like putting a card on your bike spokes when you were younger.

Have a 2011 JKU sport 60,000 miles.

Ahhh I think I have the same thing you have going on. Mine only does it when I press on the throttle, then I release it and the sound goes away. And yeah it does it from time to time

Mine is a 07 with 92k

Mine does the same thing. When I hit around 1,500-2,000rpm it rattles really bad. Super annoying. I just installed a flow master super 40 cat back thinking it would fix the problem. No luck. I think a weld might be broke on one of the hangers somewhere between my headers and cats. I'm not too sure but I'm thinking that's the problem. 08 JKU 30,000 miles.

It's usually a weld broken on a heat shield on the exhaust pipes. That's what mine was

This. There are a couple heat shields attached to the passenger side y-pipe at the first couple bends after exiting the cat. I would check one of the welds on those first.

Agreed mine was a cracked pipe after the cat.. It would only make that rattle sound around 2-2500 rpm and would go away. I don't know why it rattled but once patched the rattle went away

I have a similar sound pretty sure it is coming from the white box on the evap canister. Give it a few rapid hits it rattles like crazy.

Doh! Mine's doing that too. I completed a DIY exhaust install and was hoping it just needed to be spot welded now. It never does it at idle. Only accelerating. And it sounds like it's right under me.

Glad I found this!! I have been having the same thing on mine....even took it in to the dealer twice. They couldn't find anything at all...go figure! Now I know where to look.
