Default Remote starter 2007

Has anyone installed the mopar remote starter in a 07 jeep . Is there a difference between the 07 and 08 models.

I'm really wondering this too. The dealer told me they only had 08 and up in their catalog. What is the difference? Is it not doable?

Won't work. I got the 2008 remote starter and the computer wouldn't recognize it. I have a 2007 jeep wrangler. Quadratec has listings for the 2007 integrated key fob starter kit but it dose not work. There information is wrong.just look at the installation instructions and it clearly says 2008. If you want to make sure it won't work in your car call 1-800-84mopar and they can look at your vin and check if your car can use the starter. Instead I had to buy the separate key fob from mopar. It sucks to have a separate box on your key chain but it's the only way you can have a mopar car starter for an 07. Make sure if you buy it you get the kit and the computer the DNA goes into.

FYI. A remote starter will not work with any 07 jeep with a factory security system. I just got a call from the dealer and they fixed why the jeep wouldn't start. The security system shut down the whole car and locked everything up. Cost several hundred bucks.

I believe he means you have to decide between the Remote Starter or the EVS security system. A quick look indicates they plug into the same controller.
