Default Runnig front teo freedom panels question?

So the weather was nice this weekend and I took off the hard top. I put the front two freedom panels back on today to see how I liked it and love it. When I was looking around the top of the jeep I saw this...

I'm guessing that it has something to do with the speakers in the sound bar but it is only on one side. Should I worry if this gets wet from a light rain or is there a way to cover it, protecting it from getting wet?
Thanks for the help in advance.

You should be alright if caught in a brief storm or shower. If you want to seal it off you can put some RTV around it. Those wires are for the light and speakers.

Back before I traded my hard top (good riddance!), I was caught in one of the hardest thunderstorms VA had last year for 2 days straight. I was about 3 hours from home visiting my girlfriend so I made do with what I had, but my Jeep was completely soaked. I had no issues with any of the electronics. I also power wash my interior, I just throw a trash bag over the steering wheel and radio before hand. Haven't had an issue yet. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless you plan on treating your jeep like a submarine.

One thing I started to do was carry the freedom panels when I took the top off. That way I could at least cover the front half of my jeep with the freedom panels if it came down to it. those two bolt in the sound bar won't let them go anywhere.

Edit: I see you were doing what I was talking about, nevermind.

Has anyone used a windjammer and tonno cover with the two front freedom panels also in place. I know it will not be waterproof but it would keep your items covered and stop most of the breeze.
Thanks

I used to run my old 2dr jk with the windjammer and hard top front panels. One time it rained the interior got soaked, bad. The water would just run strait down and through the huge gap in the back. The water would run down the panel to the windshield. I eventually put some pipe insulator in that gap and that helped a little.
