Small and large and GASCAP
I've been getting the GASCAP message for a bit now and then it goes away. I'm also getting large evap leak but then that would go away too. Today I got all 3 at the same time. I'm pretty sure it's not the gas cap but I've got a brand new one coming in tomorrow OEM. How do I check the filler hose, gasket, and gas cap gasket. What am I looking for? The gas cap gasket looks pretty fresh since it's only a few years old and it was my spare for a while in the back of my JK.

What year Jeep? I got a gas cap message on my 2012. It was a loose hose going to the evap canister. I just twisted it a bit and the light went out and has never come back. The gas cap was not the cause in my case.

I just put a new gas cap on too. Can I just buy a new canister and install it? It looks like just two tubes and a electrical connector.
I have also read about an o-ring?

Where did you read about an o ring? Maybe a link could help locate it. I've got a friend with a similar code and he hasn't addressed it yet.

I had that on y 10, replaced the gas cap, the check engine light went out. Couple of days later, put the old cap on, check engine light came back on. Put new one back on the check engine light went out. Threw the old cap away. Interesting is that my 07 has original cap and never got those codes.
