Default Soft top fit

I've had my 08 2door softop since new. Over the past year I've noticed the fabric (wing?) area left and right of the back window do not sit flat against the window edge but significantly bow out along the stitched edge. Any suggestions to get them to lay flat?

Default Soft top sail

Here is a photo of the area around the back window. It's like this on left and right sides. I was thinking of a suspender clip and a thin strap across horizontally to keep tension on the sail flap. Thoughts?Click image for larger version

I think that's fairly normal. It doesn't seem excessively bowed out. I don't have a closeup and my hard top is on now but even from a distance you can see mine is flared out. Yours does seem more though. Maybe a hairdryer to warm and soften it up some and massage it back to where you want it?

Thanks AJ613. I actually got 2 pant hangers and dismantled them using the clips, I clipped them to the sides and ran a flat cord with tension and it kind of keeps the lower part flatter. I'm thinking of a piece of stiff plastic edging to slide over the sail and it may help more. I also like your heat gun/hair dryer idea to warm and reform them. I'd especially like to keep the winter weather and grime off the zippers if possible. I guess it's "A Jeep Thing"

My 10 did the same thing so I finally managed to fix it by replacing the top. $250 to move from a regular top to a premium with tinted windows and all new hardware. The deals are out there and it fixed my problem for sure.
